Short bio
Brian “Bee” Frank is a Canadian-Swedish hard rock singer, songwriter and producer with 45+ years on stage. He fronted Toronto’s Rapid Tears in the late seventies, led the Swedish-based band Killer Bee through ten releases and tours across Europe and North America — including Moscow’s Red Square in 1992 and a 40-city US tour in 2015 — and now records as Syndicated Madness with multi-instrumentalist Pelle Karlsson. His solo debut EP, Chasing The Dragon, was released in February 2026.
Long bio
Brian “Bee” Frank grew up in Toronto on the records of the late sixties and early seventies — Bowie, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep — and by 1977 was fronting Rapid Tears in the same club scene that produced Anvil. The band’s early-eighties vinyl — Operation Airlift, Headbang, the album Honestly and EP Cry for Mercy — circulates today as collector material.
A 1985 studio session in Toronto introduced him to Swedish musician Anders “LA” Rönnblom, and in 1990 Frank moved to Sweden for good. Together they founded Killer Bee: three albums in the nineties (including World Order Revolution with Kee Marcello of Europe), a show on Moscow’s Red Square in 1992, and — after a comeback in 2011 — seven further releases, a nine-week 40-city North American tour in 2015 with Paul “Tonka” Chapman (ex-UFO), and a UK tour in 2017. On the later records Frank is credited as producer, engineer and mixer as well as vocalist.
In 2022 he formed Syndicated Madness with multi-instrumentalist Pelle Karlsson — the album It’s Not The End returned him to his early-seventies roots. In February 2026 came the record that puts his own name first: the EP Chasing The Dragon, credited “Brian Bee Frank & Syndicated Madness”, met by an international wave of indie press — summed up by Plus One Reviews as “A Lifetime of Truth in Every Beat”.
